Inquiry Sundays

Join us in exploring a deeper understanding of ourselves through self-inquiry in an open, friendly and supportive setting. By exploring the nature and source of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs with meditative inquiry, we create space for potentially transformative insight into ourselves and our life situation.

Inquiry Sundays are opportunities to explore the teachings of well-known or newly emerging non-dual teachers and their relevance to daily living. They often include screenings that are not readily available elsewhere, followed by an opportunity for shared inquiry and refreshments.

MAY 2013 EVENTS

Warmer weather has finally arrived and nature is at its glorious best with trees and flowers in full bloom - a great time to visit the Centre!

This coming Sunday, May 5 from 11am-1pm we will be continuing with talks from last fall's Science and Non-Duality Conference. We will show an insightful presentation on "Quantum Physics and the Nature of the Self" by Dr. Lothar Schaefer. He is a German-American scientist who has investigated the interface of science, consciousness and spirituality and is the author of 'In Search of Divine Reality'. His talk will be followed by an opportunity for sharing.

The afternoon session, from 2-4:30pm, will include a Krishnamurti video on the current crisis of consciousness and the need for its transformation, as well as a dialogue, followed by refreshments. Both sessions are by donation. Please bring your lunch if you wish to attend both.

On Sunday, May 19 the members of the meditative inquiry group will hold another of their ongoing monthly sessions at Swanwick.

Our May 24-26 weekend retreat: "Truth is a Pathless Land: Getting Here from Here", with Dr. Hillary Rodrigues, starts with this well known statement by J. Krishnamurti to explore the question of spiritual truth. It starts with a public session on Friday, May 24 at 7:30 pm at the Church of Truth in downtown Victoria with Hillary, entitled "Who Goes There? Searching for the Searcher"; by donation.

On the May 31-June 2 weekend Oda Lindner, registered yoga teacher and therapist, will host the workshop "Fit for the Infinite: Yoga and Krishnamurti". It provides an unusual opportunity to experience Krishnamurti's teaching as physically embodied self knowledge that can help facilitate an embodied way of being in the world.
